Just wanted to let everyone know that we have appreciated the support from our readers and hope you continue to visit in 2011! Take care and have a great night!

Burton Developing 'Nightmare Before Christmas 2'

Could it be? Is Tim Burton finally starting development on a sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas?

Now here's some really cool news sent in to us by a very reliable source on the East Coast! While Tim Burton is busy toiling away on the highly anticipated Dark Shadows adaptation right now, he also has his sights set on a sequel to his much beloved The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The news comes to us from a recent interview with Paul "Pee-wee Herman" Reubens (who worked with Burton on Pee-wee's Big Adventure) in promotion of his live Broadway show, which closes January 2nd but is being taped for HBO. When asked if he would like to work with Burton again, Reubens replied that he'd like to, but Burton has so many projects happening right now, including Dark Shadows, it's not likely. He went on to mention a few more, but the big reveal came when Reubens mentioned that Burton is also planning a sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Talk about a late holiday gift, huh? Look for more on the return of Jack Skellington and company soon!

'Hatchet II' Revised Cover Art

There's a new revised version of the Hatchet II cover art making its rounds. This is due mainly to Brad Miska's (Bloody-Disgusting) argument as to why a BD quote was used on the first cover. Brad was mad at the fact a quote was being used without his approval, rightly so, and thus, it has been removed.

Thanks to Bloody Disgusting...and sorry, guys.

'Child's Play' Remake May Have New Title

We have learned recently that the title for the upcoming (long delayed) Child's Play remake may be sporting a new title. There could be a number of possibilities on how and why, but I believe the main reason for the title change is simply to appeal to a wider audience. Not everyone knows what Child's Play is, but everyone knows who Chucky is.

Take it with a grain of salt, it came as an anonymous scoop...but it sure sounds interesting.

Impressive 'Jeepers Creepers 3' Fan Trailer

I don't know I haven't seen this before, but oh well. Maybe you already have, maybe you haven't, anyway, it's one helluva great fan-made trailer for Jeepers Creepers 3.

Remember, this is not real, only fan-made...

'Deathly Hallows Part 2' Is Most Aniticipated Film In 2011

According to a poll that Fandango conducted, the most anticipated film of 2011 is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. This news is made even greater due to the fact that it's a sequel. Yes, that's right, a sequel is what everyone is waiting for. And if that's not enough, the number two spot is a two-way tie...and guess what? They're sequels, too! The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and The Hangover Part 2 are tied for second.

Consider 2011 the year of the sequel. With not only these titles making their debut, but also a few other big ones like Scream 4 and Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Some other notables are A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom, Underworld 4, Mission: Impossible IV, 5nal Destination 3D, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D, and Happy Feet 2 in 3D

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' is the most-anticipated movie of 2011 among both men and women, according to a Fandango.com poll of over 1,000 people conducted over the Christmas holiday, reports Reuters. The final film in the 'Harry Potter' franchise is due July 15.

Second choice with theatergoers was divided by gender, with women preferring 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1', due Nov. 18, and men anticipating the comedy sequel 'The Hangover Part 2', which lands in theaters on May 26.

'Death Race 3' Is A Go-Go

After the semi-success of Death Race and Death Race 2, it should be no surprise that a third installment is planned.

Universal are putting pedal to the metal on a second sequel to “Death Race”.

Based on the initial worldwide reception to “Death Race 2″ (releasing in most territories over the next few weeks) the studio’s home entertainment division has put “Death Race 3″ into development, Moviehole confirmed today.

Though “Death Race 2″ takes place before the events of the 2008 film (it itself a remake of an old Roger Corman movie) it’s not yet known when on the timeline the new film takes place.

“Death Race 2″, directed by Roel Reine, stars Luke Goss as Convicted cop-killer Carl Lucas, a grizzled convict who arrives on Terminal Island to serve his life sentence just as ruthlessly ambitious television personality September Jones launches the ultimate reality show, Death Race.

Reviews for the film have been generally positive across the board with most critics singling out the amazing action sequences and impressive support cast (Danny Trejo, Sean Bean and Ving Rhames play parts).

Robin Shou (14k) and Frederick Koehler (Lists) appear in both “Death Race” and “Death Race 2″ so there’s the possibility that they might also return for the new film. One imagines we will see a new hero though.

More on “Death Race 3″ as we hear it.

'Ghost Rider 2', Sequel Or Reboot?

As production on Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance heats up (pun intended), the question is becoming very clear: Is this a sequel or a reboot?

Our buddies over at Hollywood Outbreak caught up with Nicolas Cage who is currently filming ”Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance”.

The film will be released on February 17, 2012 and there has been some speculation as to if the film (directed by Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor) is a sequel or a re-boot of the first movie.

Cage states the film will be “an entirely new experience.” Cage says it was important for the directors to “recreate that whole experience” in making this film – which may be referring to the origin or transformation of Johnny Blaze into Ghost Rider.

Check out Nicolas Cage in his new movie, ”Season of the Witch”, in theaters January 7th.

If you haven't seen it yet, here it is: the theatrical trailer for Winnie the Pooh, a quasi reboot/remake of sorts. Call me lame, but I'm definitely seeing this in theaters.

Stuntman Injured On 'The Hangover 2'

Recently, on the set of Warner Bros. upcoming comedy sequel, The Hangover 2, a stuntman (Scott McLean) was critically injured during an automobile stunt. Best of luck to a speedy recovery, Scott!

Warner Bros. had this to say...

"There was an accident involving a truck and a car on the second unit set of 'The Hangover Part II' near Bangkok, Thailand, at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010 (Bangkok time). A stuntman was injured during the filming of this sequence. The truck and car were both driven by stunt drivers. An ambulance immediately took the injured stuntman to the local hospital, and he has since been transported to a hospital in Bangkok where advanced care is being provided. We are awaiting further details concerning his condition."

Lucy Hale Talks 'Scream 4' Cameo

Lucy Hale talks to Just Jared Jr. about her little cameo in Scream 4, the newest chapter in the suspense thrillogy directed by Wes Craven.

On appearing in Scream 4:
“I actually did a cameo for Scream 4, which is amazing because there’s a lot of people in it, so it’s cool to be a part since it’s such a huge cult franchise. I remember watching all of them. Wes Craven directed it — it was just so surreal.”

'X-Men: First Class' Sports Retro Custumes

A little X-Men: First Class news bits...

Someone over at the Superhero Hype forums is claiming to have some inside information on the “X-Men : First Class” movie. Considering it is the reputable Superhero Hype and not a comic blog hosted on a free weebly account we’ll give this person the benefit of the doubt.. for now.

•the xmen costumes are blue and yellow. they look good.

•mystique has an xmen costume, so i’m assuming she’s apart of the xmen team at some point. she’s also not going to be blue for the entire movie.

•i personally don’t like beast’s look. his fur is apparently made of some near-extinct albino fox or something. but that could just be a rumor.

•angel has tattoos all over her body and her costume is black, very short and revealing. (zoe kravitz and her stunt double are gorgeous).

•i’m not sure if it’s ok to reveal the villain, but he looks really awesome. he also drank my soda.

•emma frost looks really good. but i don’t like the hair and make-up, although it might translate better on film than it did in person.

•got to see some fight rehearsals. beast, mystique and *the villain*have a fight.

•the hellfire club is either a strip club or a casino. and it might be on a boat.

•a scene takes place outside a submarine. only a small part of the sub is real. most of it is green screen.

•know one scene revolves around beast, havoc and another guy trying to defend xavier from eric. mystique is in that scene as well, but she doesn’t try to defend xavier. i’m guessing by that point, she’s torn between xavier and eric

Fun World Responds To NECA's Ghostface

Fun World director RJ Torbert responded the criticism of NECA's new 7'' Ghostface figure. Fun World, as you know, are the makers of the iconic Ghostface mask.

First, I would like to congratulate NECA on a job well done. As I have mentioned in earlier interviews there are "reasons" for things unfolding the way they have and I extol their ability and determination on this project. I also think they were very gracious in releasing a "prototype" image of the figure to the "SCREAM" "GHOSTFACE" followers instead of a "production" figure. By doing this they showed appreciation and respect to the fans which I think is terrific. Yes, there has been "some" criticism which everyone is entitled to do when giving their opinion. There have even been some comments such as. "Who let this pass?" The answer is me. The buck stops here at this office when it comes to GHOSTFACE and the approvals so the criticism can be directed at me or my office should they decide to do so. I was in constant contact with Neca thru the stages including while I was in Hong Kong. They are a terrific group of hard working people who I think did something original with the mixture of cloth and plastic and I m confident the sales results will make it a very successful item and quite possibly a collectors piece.

QUESTION-----the fact that NECA did a ZOMBIE GHOSTFACE. Figure. Has many thinking its in the film and quite possibly a spoiler (according to certain websites)
Answer---- NOT TRUE-----ZOMBIE GHOSTFACE license was granted to NECA on merit alone. They were informed there were no guarantee about its placement in the movie. I stand by what I have stated all along---- regarding the other masks----- there has never been confirmation on usage or not being used ----in the movie and Neca understood this. It makes a terrific figure whether its in the movie or not.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy and wonderful holiday season as well as a great 2011. I sincerely wish that all of you are fortunate enough to do a random act of kindness for someone during the year.
With best wishes
R J Torbert

'Little Fockers' Avoids Threequel Curse

I found a neat little review for Little Fockers that tried to find the good in the movie, entertaining and a fun read...

For whatever reason, the third entry in any series of films is often the worst and sometimes not even watchable (remember "Spider-Man 3?"). "Little Fockers," which is the second sequel to 2000's "Meet the Parents," is a perfectly serviceable comedy that manages to sidestep the typical "threequel" curse.

Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) is now a cash-strapped dad enticed to moonlight as a speaker for a drug company by newcomer to the series Andi Garcia (Jessica Alba). The timing is awful, as his near-psychotic father-in-law, played with the now-customary hamminess by Robert De Niro, has now annointed Greg heir apparent as his successor as head of the family, and is going to be in town for the twins' birthday.

The twist this time around is that the parents and inlaws are on Greg's turf this time, although he derives little strategic advantage from it. Paul Weitz, who directed "American Pie," is no stranger to shock comedy, and delivers the low-brow belly laughs with sufficient regularity. Don't knock it. It's more than "How Do You Know" managed. The story manages to reunite almost major character from the earlier movies, although Dustin Hoffman, who initially refused to come back, seems shoehorned in and probably was. Owen Wilson, who also appears in the disastrous "How Do You Know," is back from the first film and should be pleased that at least one of his holiday releases seems likely to make money.

Getting more emphasis this time around is Greg's competence as a nurse. It's a good idea. The audience roots for this character, and wants to see him show his stuff. He gets the upper hand with his domineering father-in-law a couple of times and the audience will like that.

The photography, it bears noting, is suprisingly bad in a feature film that had to be expensive if only for the cast alone. Remi Adefarasin photographed "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" which looked much better than this. Of course a period drama probably has to. "Little Fockers" won't win any Oscars, but it doesn't have to. To get its job done it needs to get some laughs and that it accomplishes. Unlike "How Do You Know," this is a comedy where all the good jokes aren't in the trailer. It won't suffer any on home video, but fans of the first two movies in the series won't regret buying a ticket to this one, either.

Yes, they set up for another sequel.

Andrew Garfield Talks 'Spider-Man'

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Andrew Garfield dished a little bit on his experience playing Peter Parker in the much-anticipated Spider-Man reboot...

Andrew Garfield, retiring the suit for a few days whilst he downs eggnog with a drunk uncle, says in a new online interview that he’s been shooting “Spider-Man” (2012) for a couple of weeks now and is really enjoying certain aspects of it.

In an interview with The Guardian, the actor decides to mention not how great it’s been working with vets like Martin Sheen or Sally Field, nor how beautiful and talented co-star Emma Stone is, but how ‘comfy’ the “Spider-Man” getup is. As one would.

”I feel like a kid in my pajamas”, the 27-year-old star of “The Social Network” says.

“I can only say how it feels and it feels pretty special. It feels like a dream realized and a fantasy realized,” he added. “I don’t take it lightly and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to wear spandex for the next few months.”

Under those pajamas you won’t find a bulk of muscle. Pattinson says he didn’t go all Taylor Lautner for the part.

“I think Spider-Man needs strength, but Peter Parker is still a teenager, you know? That’s a very tender balance to figure out,” he said. “It’s very specific what we’re trying to achieve in terms of body type and the feeling of that. Rest assured, there’s a lot of people who are helping me with it because I have no discipline in that respect. My father’s a swimming coach and I kind of rebelled against that very, very early on so any form of physical discipline has to be really cracked with a really smart whip.”

Meanwhile, co-star Emma Stone says she’s signed for a couple of “Spider-Man” movies. This wouldn’t normally be news but considering Stone’s character Gwen Stacy was killed in the comics, and fairly early on, one might’ve assumed this might have been a one-off for the “Easy A” starlet.

Speaking to Jay Leno about her new blond locks (well, in fact, she’s naturally pineapple; red was just a diversion) the actress says ”There’s a few Spider-Men, so I may have to keep (my blonde hair) for a couple of years.”

NECA Reveals 7'' Ghostface Figure

NECA has revealed their prototype for their new 7'' Ghostface figure from the popular horror series Scream. The figure is said to coincide with Scream 4 and be approved by Fun World (makers of the Ghost Face mask). But for me, a die-hard Scream fanatic, I sure hope the final product has much improvement over this proto. Oh well, I still have my old McFarland Toys Movie Maniac Ghostface...

Dan Brown Writing 'Da Vinci Code' Sequel

The author of The Da Vinci Code is currently writing the screenplay for the sequel, The Lost Symbol...

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Mega-selling mystery author Dan Brown has taken over writing duties on the film adaptation of "The Lost Symbol."

Columbia Pictures is developing the film version of Brown's most recent novel, which was published in 2009 and sold more than a million copies in its first day on shelves. In it, Brown's regular protagonist, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, gets mixed up with the Freemasons in Washington, D.C.

The 2006 adaptation of "The Da Vinci Code" and the 2009 version of "Angels & Demons" grossed $1.24 billion at the worldwide box office for Sony. But this is the first time Brown has taken on screenwriting duties. Akiva Goldsman penned Da Vinci, and co-wrote Demons with David Koepp.

Oscar-nominated "Eastern Promises" scribe Steven Knight first took a run at the "Symbol" screenplay. Although Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment is once again producing, Howard, who directed the first two Brown adaptations, has not committed to directing "Symbol." Nor has star Tom Hanks officially come on board to reprise Langdon.

Channing Tatum In 'The Expendables 2'

Dolph Lundgren seems to think that Channning Tatum will be in the sequel t The Expendables...

In an interview to promote the DVD and Blu-ray release of “The Expendables”, chemical engineer turned Punisher Dolph Lundgren tells Den of Geek that Sly’s looking at recruiting some young guns (no, not as in Dermot Mulroney or Lou Diamond Phillips) for the forthcoming sequel.

“I know they were talking about someone really young, like that guy, what’s his name? The guy that was in G.I. Joe…. Channing Tatum, or someone like him to bring that audience.”

Lundgren also said his “Universal Soldier” co-star Jean-Claude Van Damme will likely appear in the film – and he might get to fight him. Again.

“Stallone said something like, “Yeah, I want you to break his fucking neck somehow…”. So, we’ll see what happens!”.

“So, I think that there’s a certain chance he’ll be in it. As a bad guy he would be cool. I think he should play a bad guy. It’s a great way to come back, you know, because people aren’t used to that, doing a whole bunch of evil crap. People will be like, “Woah, he’s killing all these innocent people! Jesus!” That’d make them feel something.”

“The Expendables 2″, which is expected to lens early next year, will have Stallone, Lundgren, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Randy Couture, Bruce Willis and Terry Crews back onboard. Everyone from Dwayne Johnson to Chuck Norris has been touted as one of the franchise’s expected new additions.

Producer Talks 'Tron 3'

Producer Sean Bailey recently spoke about the possibility of TRON 3...

Though it’s doing respectable business at the box office (see our story here on how well the film performed in the U.S this weekend), ”TRON : Legacy” still has a long way to go before it’s out of the red.

Producer Sean Bailey confirms rumours that they have got some ideas for a sequel but haven’t yet decided whether they’ll push forward.

“We’ve talked about a sequel and we have some beginning thoughts, but we didn’t hold anything back for this film,” said Bailey, in an interview with THR. “It’s really hard to make a good movie, and we put everything we had into this one.”

“I think Tron has the potential to become a real franchise,” said Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney. “Right now the focus is on launching a great movie and a great video game, and then hoping that the people out there agree with us. If they do, we have the ability as a company to basically turn something that’s successful in one medium or two into a true franchise. And we’re fully prepared to do that with Tron.”

In other words, you’ll definitely see more “TRON” – it just mightn’t necessarily be in the form of a movie.

'Salt 2' Needs A Director

The directing job for Salt 2 is open at the moment. here's the full details...

In an interview conducted earlier today, “Salt” director Phillip Noyce told us he won’t be (despite rumours he’s already onboard) directing the sequel to the Angelina Jolie starring hit.

Though Sony has yet to officially announce a sequel (it’s expected they likely will, considering the success of the original) Noyce tells Moviehole he has moved on.

“Those 3 [alternate] Blu-ray cuts [of the film] represent just about everything I have to offer on Everlyn Salt”, says the filmmaker. “If there ever is a sequel, better its directed by someone with a completely fresh take on what I believe could be a totally entertaining and complex series of stories.”

Meantime, Noyce is working on a couple of new projects.

”Christopher Hampton, of Atonement fame, is currently in negotiations to rework the Dirt Music script, with Russell Crowe confirmed to play singer/song writer Luther Fox.Its a film about the transporting power of love and music.

“I’m also working with Salt producer Sunil Perkash and writer Bill Kelly (Enchanted) on another romantic drama called “Timeless”, being financed by Relativity.”

Review: 'Hatchet II'

Finally got a chance to sit down and watch Hatchet II. The film starts off where I felt it needed to: exactly where the first one ended...and maybe that's where this one needed to end as well.

After watching the film, it's hard rto believe that this movie has so much hype going in to it. For literally months prior, horror news sites were clamoring at the chance to post anything Hatchet sequel related. And I just feel that the film falls short...way short.

This film's lead heroine, Marybeth (played by Tamara Feldman in the original, this time by Danielle Harris), feels a little out of place in this sequel. The film could probably work without the character altogether. As for Danielle Harris, I've always liked here, going all the way back to Halloween 4 & 5. But in Hatchet II, her acting didn't seem up to par (she's actually a really good actress). Besides the main antagonist, Victor Crowley, there's actually sort of another semi-bad guy: Reverend Zombie (played by horror fave Tony Todd), who is keen on ending the Crowley curse so that he can reclaim the swamp and "officially" open his boat tour(s) for that part of swamp.

The rest of the characters are easily forgettable. In fact, I can't remember one of their names. Ha. See? The only real memorable part that I thoroughly enjoyed was the Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon references that one of the characters had (apparently said character grew up in Glen Echo).

That's really it. There's not much to Hatchet II. It is what it is. It delivers on the blood, guts, and gore...but definitely isn't a solid flick. Recommended if you liked the first, otherwise, stay away...far away.

Josh Brolin Talks 'Men In Black 3'

Josh Brolin recently sat down with MTV and dished a little about how Men In Black 3 is already surpassing his Jonah Hex experience...

More Heather Morris 'Buffy' Chatter

This has become some sort of roller coaster ride this past week: is she or isn't she? It was rumored earlier that Glee star Heather Morris was the front-runner to play the lead in the Buffy, The Vampire Slayer reboot. And then the story was debunked by the writer...and now Morris is claiming that she is in talks...

What a rocking chair of a news story this is, we’ve been back-and-forth on these “Heather Morris as Buffy” rumours all week.

The “Glee” actress was said to be the frontrunner for the role of the Slayer in Warner’s “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” reboot a week or so back. The film’s writer, newcomer Whit Anderson, was quick to debunk the rumours though – suggesting that the script is not even finished, so nobody’s out there auditioning actors just yet.

Was that a smokescreen though? Is Heather Morris actually in talks? It would seem so.

The blond, who plays ditzy Britney on “Glee”, tells Access Hollywood that she’s indeed being considered.

“They’re considering me!” Morris says, “I found out and I almost peed my pants ’cause I was so excited!”

Morris additionally admitted that she is a fan of the story’s heroine Buffy, that she would take any role in the upcoming film. “If they make ['Buffy'] when ['Glee'] is on hiatus, I don’t even care what I do. I can just run through the shot and do nothing – even if I’m not Buffy!” she declared.

Hmm. Well there ya go. Seems a studio and a studio puppet were playing the cover-up. Surely that’s a first? (wink wink)

'Hatchet II' Cover Art Revealed

The cover art for Adam Green's Hatchett II has been revealed via various news sites. The film is getting rave reviews and seems to be surpassing the original, but, we'll have to wait and see how DVD and Blu-ray sales do, considering that's how the original gained its cult status.

By the way, you can pre-order your copy, either DVD or Blu-ray, by following the links just below the cover art.

Canadian 'Scream 4' Trailer In French!

Here's a little love for the French-Canadian Scream fans out there! It's always a bit funny seeing a trailer dubbed with another language, because they somehow always seem to lose their "feel". But, not this one -- this one, however, seems to maintain its eerie atmosphere and deliver exactly what the English one did. Enjoy!

Ghostface In 'Still Screaming' Photo

The documentary on the Scream franchise, Still Screaming: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective, is in full swing and here we are treated to a great shot of the Ghostface killer in full attack mode from a "movie-within-a-movie" inside the doco (and no, it's not a Stab sequel).

Today Scream-Trilogy reveals an exclusive first look at the ‘fictional’ linking segment from Still Screaming: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective. Taking Scream to the next level of meta, Ghostface intrudes on a young woman’s dressing room in our world.

The doco’s director Ryan Turek told Scream-Trilogy “we just wrapped shooting something unique to the retrospective and stays true to Scream’s self aware attitude. It’s something I wrote and directed. It’s not a Stab fan film, but a mini-narrative set in the real world where the Scream films exist for our two characters.”

Turek has previously revealed that this special sequence will also make reference to the slew of genre documentaries that have been hitting the market. Still Screaming’s production company Masimedia has masterminded or contributed to Halloween: 25 Years Of Terror, His Name Was Jason: 30 Years Of Friday The 13th, the recently released rave-reviewed The Psycho Legacy, and the upcoming Unearthed: The Hellraiser Saga.

'The Other Guys 2' A Possibility

Adam McKay recently spoke to MTV about a possible The Other Guys 2. And here's how that went...

Though it was a much bigger success than “The A-Team”, same deal if anyone wants to see a sequel to “The Other Guys” : Buy the DVD… and hope that the film “ages well”.

That’s what director Adam McKay tells MTV Movies Blog today when asked whether or not we might see Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg’s ‘loser’ cops back on the beat one day.

“[A sequel] has been kicked around. You know, Will and I both feel the same: Box office is one thing for these comedies, but you really see that the best gauge is how they play on DVD and TV and downloads and all that. So you don’t really know until a year or year-and-a-half after it comes out. “Step Brothers” had a pretty decent box office run. I mean, it made money and did really well, but it was until like four months after it came out that it really started catching. “Anchorman” was the same way. You find the fan base like a year later. So if “Other Guys” ages well at all, we’d love to do a sequel. So we shall see.”

After a couple of not so successful comedies, such as the box office bomb ”Land Of The Lost”, Will Ferrell badly needed a hit, and thankfully he found it with ”The Other Guys”. Teaming up once again with writer/ director Adam McKay (”Anchorman”), this buddy cop action comedy is jam packed full of one-liners. McKay is the master of the awkward moment, and in this he nails the mix of smart and silly humour.

The odd couple relationship between Ferrell and Wahlberg is a major reason this film works, and it provides many of the funnier scenes. There are some big action sequences in here too; including what is probably the first car chase done with a Toyota Prius Hybrid car.

If you enjoyed Will Ferrell in ”Step Brothers” and ”Talladega Nights”, you will love him in ”The Other Guys”. A few days after watching it, I wanted to see it again, a good sign for a so-called “stupid” comedy.

Jon Favreau Not Directing 'Iron Man 3'

It's a sad day in the world of Iron Man, as Jon Favreau has walked from the project. Read on for the full details...

So the usually reliable (despite what Nikki Fenke says!) Vulture shocked the comic book movie community this morning with word that Jon Favreau had exited the “Iron Man” franchise, leaving “Iron Man 3” in someone else’s hands.

Favreau himself confirmed the news via a Tweet, saying “It’s true, I’m directing Magic Kingdom, not Iron Man 3. I’ve had a great run with Marvel and wish them the best.”

An insider tells Comic Book Movie that Favreau departed ways with Marvel because the filmmaker and star Robert Downey Jr had a rift over the poorly received “Iron Man 2”.

“What happened is that on the first one they sort threw the script out and kind of improvised the whole thing and they stuck a landing,” says the source, described as “a prolific member of the Hollywood community whose identity can’t be revealed, but who’s about as credible as they come’’. “They stuck the landing and it turned out to be a good movie. Then the attitude was, ‘Let’s do it again.’ The problem is that if you do it once, you’re lucky. Trying to do it twice, your odds of success aren’t that great. Robert Downey Jr. and the director, Jon Favreau, their friendship broke up over that whole mess of the second movie. Did you notice they didn’t do press together?”

“Because [Iron Man 2] sucked….Robert Downey, Jr. blamed Jon Favreau. That’s why Downey dropped out of Cowboys and Aliens, because he didn’t want to work with Jon Favreau again. Also, by the way, it’s why Jon Favreau dropped out of The Avengers. I thought the odds of him directing Iron Man 3 were slim, and that proved right.“

Favreau didn’t go into that with The LA Times – not surprisingly – but he does suggest that he’d lost the passion for the “Iron Man” franchise.

Favreau says he’s excited to be working with Disney on a feature film version of “Magical Kingdom”.

A film like that can “blow people away, which is easier to do with a project that isn’t loaded with built-in expectations.”

A diplomatic Favreau, whose next film “Cowboys & Aliens” is out next Summer, said he’s thankful for the opportunity to bring Iron Man to life.

“Marvel and I both came of age together,” Favreau said. “The years that we shared were a pivotal experience. Kevin has a firm grasp on the many franchises and how they all interweave and I am happy that I had the opportunity to establish the world that these characters can now play in…. ‘Iron Man’ has given me tremendous opportunities and Kevin and I are enjoying a lot of momentum in our careers thanks to the ‘Iron Man’ films. I look forward to seeing what others can do playing in the same world.”

I don’t know what to think of Marvel right about now… I mean, they screwed over Terrence Howard, they nearly screwed over Samuel L.Jackson, they went against the fans and decided not to pay Edward Norton what he was worth to come back and reprise the role of Bruce Banner for The Avengers, and now, they’ve seemingly done wrong by Favreau.

Wonder if Marvel will go back to Nick Cassavetes, who was originally attached to direct “Iron Man” a couple of years before Favreau came on the scene?

'Fast Five' Trailer Is Here

Check out the trailer for Fast Five now by heading over to Vin Diesel's Facebook page...or by clicking here.

Casting Call: 'The Three Stooges'

It looks as if some unknowns could be playing the title roles of Larry, Curly, and Moe in a big-screen adaptation of TV's The Three Stooges. Back in the day, it was supposed to be Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Benicio Del Toro, but a few years have passed and those actors have since dropped out of the project. Well, without further ado, here's the call...

MOE
The unquestioned leader of the Three Stooges, Moe is a numbskull who barks orders and expects unquestioned obedience from his two hapless companions, Larry and Curly. STRONG VERBAL AND PHYSICAL COMEDY SKILLS REQUIRED – Age range early 30’s to early 40’s.

LARRY
An imbecile with an eccentric fringe of pullable frizzy hair, Larry is the bird-brained member of The Three Stooges, a victim of Moe’s bullying and Curly’s effervescent insanity. STRONG VERBAL AND PHYSICAL COMEDY SKILLS REQUIRED – Age range early 30’s to early 40’s.

CURLY
A chubby, bullet-headed idiot whose hair never grows more than an eighth of an inch, Curly is irrepressible, outgoing, unpredictable, and utterly chaotic. STRONG VERBAL AND PHYSICAL COMEDY SKILLS REQUIRED – Age range early 30’s to early 40s.

First Pic From 'Fast Five'

First still from Fast Five, the fifth installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise...

The first still from Uni’s “Fast Five” – featuring Dwayne Johnson, seemingly reprising the role played by Charlie Sheen in “Fixing the Shadow” – has hit the webbly wire. “Fast Five” is, of course, the fifth in the popular “Fast and the Furious” franchise.

Said photo features a staring contest between the stars of “The Tooth Fairy” and “The Pacifier”.

“One of the things I’ve always loved about the franchise — the reason I think it’s been so successful over the years — is that they never stop trying to up the action,” Johnson tells USA Today, who also have the image.

Director Justin Lin says, “If you’re going to do a Fast and Furious movie, you’ve got to go bigger each time,” says Lin. “People thought it would be impossible to get Dwayne. But he didn’t show up looking to cash a paycheck.” (No, he showed up looking for some taco’s. That’s just what I hear.)

“That’s pretty amazing, for a star like him to join the fifth part of a franchise”.

Johnson, playing a cop after Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker) in the film, “will wield the most with his Gurkha, a 10-ton armored military vehicle that looks like a Humvee on steroids”, says the paper.

Heather Morris is NOT 'Buffy'!

We previously reported that Glee star Heather Morris would be donning the stake in the Buffy, The Vampire Slayer reboot. Well, we were wrong...

A couple of days back the Sunnydale underground was abuzz that “Glee” scene-stealer Heather Morris (‘Britney’) had inherited the stake from Sarah Michelle Gellar in this worrisome “Buffy” reboot that Warner Bros is putting together sans the man that gave birth to the Slayer, Joss Whedon.

Easy rumour to believe – “Glee” is a hot show, anyone on it would likely be considered a viable commodity, and more so, in addition to having killer looks and great comedic timing, Ms Morris is an uber-flexible, super-healthy dancer. One would imagine that’s exactly what the producers are looking for in Buffy Sommers 3.0, no?

Alas, Whit Anderson, the actress cum screenwriter behind the film, has debunked claims that Morris is the frontrunner for the role, telling THR “We’re not even thinking about casting yet…The script isn’t even written!”

Kids, ‘script isn’t even written’ is a good thing; it’s sometimes code for ‘And who knows if the movie will even get made when it is’.

First 'Spider-Man' Pics: Gwen Stacy

If you search around, you'll find pics of Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy in the Spider-Man redo. There are several pics available, but the all pretty much show the same thing. So I'll just post one.

I've heard some hush-hush rumors that Spidey's new suit has been redesigned, so I'm eagerly awaiting that to be revealed.

'X-Men: First Class' Plot Revealed

The plot for the upcoming X-Men: First Class has been revealed. Here we go again...

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Pics From Burton's Abandoned 'Superman Lives'

Below are some pictures and information regarding the abandoned 1997 Superman Lives that Tim Burton was set to direct. Photos were made available by Steve Johnson, an FX artist...

...

Feels like yesterday we were posting news items about “Superman Lives”, the failed Tim Burton take on the legendary character. In fact, I remember exactly where I was when I updated the site with news that the film had fallen through. Also remember the image we used. Funny how some things stay with you like that.

You all know about “Superman Lives” right? Before McG, before Brett Ratner, and way before Bryan Singer, Tim Burton had been charged with the task of bringing Superman back to theaters. Nicolas Cage (I know, I know…) had been hired to play The Man of Steel.

Here’s a bit of a refresher (remember all this stuff so well because we seemed to be reporting on it each and every week) :

I was in the university ‘computer room’ – where students would fight over this new thing called ‘the internet’ – when the film was announced. Jaw dropped when I read that Burton would be doing it, fist hit the desk when I read Nicolas Cage would be Kal-El. I was also a little confused why Kevin Smith, who at that point was known only for “Clerks” and “Mallrats”, had been tapped to write the screenplay…. of a superhero movie!?

As it would turn out, Cage, Burton and Smith weren’t the ones we needed to be worried about. Jon Peters, who had had a hit with “Batman” (1989), thus hiring Burton for “Superman Lives”, had no idea how to make a “Superman” movie. He wanted Superman to wear an ‘All-Black suit’ and, oh get this, Superman wouldn’t fly in the movie! Peters only had one other requirement : Smith’s script need incorporate a giant spider in the third act (he recycled this idea for the “Wild Wild West” movie).

The film’s villains would’ve been Brainiac (who in one scene is fighting polar bears at the Fortress of Solitude) and Lex Luthor… and his dog (Peters wanted to sell heaps of toys).

Smith, of course, tried to persuade Peters into hiring ‘his’ “Superman” cast for the movie – Ben Affleck as Superman, Linda Fiorentino as Lois Lane, and Jason Mewes as Jimmy Olsen. Peters didn’t go for that. They did agree on one casting decision though and that was Jack Nicholson – again, a port-over from Peters’ “Batman” – as Lex Luthor.

Cage was ultimately cast as Superman because, in Peters words, he could “convince audiences he [Superman] came from outer space.” Tim Allen and Jim Carrey were sought for the role of Brainiac, Courteney Cox was in talks for Lois Lane, and Chris Rock had been cast as Jimmy Olsen. Michael Keaton had also gotten a call, and asked whether he’d be free to come by and cameo as Bruce Wayne.

“Superman Lives” entered pre-production in 1997, at which time Wesley Strick (“Cape Fear”) had been hired to totally rewrite Smith’s script.
“The studio was happy with what I was doing. Then Tim Burton got involved, and when he signed his pay-or-play deal, he turned around and said he wanted to do his version of Superman. So who is Warner Bros. going back to? The guy who made Clerks, or the guy who made them half a billion dollars on Batman?”, said Smith.

With the film in pre-production in Pittsburgh, Dan Gilroy had been hired to rewrite ‘Strick’s script’, and the Warner Brass were demanding Burton shred $90 million off the film’s $190 million dollar budget. Burton ultimately walked (went and did “Sleepy Hollow”).

Thank god, too!

'Glee' Star To Be New 'Buffy'?

Heather Morris (TV's Glee) is the supposed front-runner to play the lead role in the upcoming Buffy, The Vampire Slayer remake.

Heather Morris, of “Glee” fame (as opposed to “I gave birth to Caffeinated Clint” fame), is said to be the favourite to grip the stake in Warner’s “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” movie remake.

MovieWeb were in Nashville this past week and had the chance to ask an associate of Sandollar productions, who are producing the movie, who the studio were envisioning as their new Buffy Sommers.

Says the site, “The source indicates that Heather Morris’s comedic timing is a perfect fit for Buffy Summers, and that her background as a dancer and a gymnast will be greatly utilized in the skill set that Buffy is supposed to have as a Slayer. In this new reboot, Buffy will no longer be in high school, but instead facing the same hardships that a lot of young college graduates have today in struggling to find a paying job and a healthy relationship. Though she plays a teenager on Glee, the 23 year-old-actress is actually the right age for this newly rebooted take on the character.”

The new “Buffy” film is being written by Whit Anderson.

Chris Zylka To Play Flash Thompson In 'Spider-Man'

Chris Zylka has been cast to play Peter Parker's high school nemesis Flash Thompson in the now-filming Spider-Man reboot.

Update! The Wrap has confirmed our earlier report that Chris Zylka will play Flash Thompson in the “Spider-Man” reboot.

Previously…

Chris Zylka (TV’s “Ten Things I Hate About You”) is said to have snagged the role of ‘Flash’ Thompson in director Marc Webb’s “Spider-Man”.

Thompson, of course, is the school stud and star footballer player who relentlessly picks on Peter Parker.

Over at Zylka’s Twitter page, the actor responds to someone congratulating him on snagging the role in “Spider-Man”. His response? Thank You”.
Comic Book Movie have confirmed that the role is Thompson.

“Twilight” star Taylor Lautner was once linked to the role of Thompson. “True Blood” star Joe Manganiello played the role of Thompson in the Sam Raimi directed “Spider-Man”.

“Spider-Man”, out 2012, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.

'Scream 4' Almost Done Says Craven

Wes Craven is claiming that Scream 4 is nearing completion via Twitter. Editing is nearly complete and they're doing ADR now...

Scream 4 is chugging along quite nicely, with Wes Craven today popping up on Twitter to announce “Doing ADR for #SCREAM4 today.” One actor involved that we know of was Marielle Jaffe, confirming her happy attendance via Facebook.

Thanks to John at Scream-Trilogy for the heads up!

'Alien' Prequel Woes Continue

The troubles for Alien prequel continue...

As much as I’d love to see a new “Alien” movie (heck, who am I kidding, I’d prefer to see a new big Jim-directed “Aliens” movie), I just don’t know if it’s going to happen. This prequel project that Ridley Scott’s onboard has been plagued with nothing but problems since Fox cracked the crusty egg and announced the thing. There have been disagreements between the studio over the script, strife over the escalating budget, a battle over the ‘rating’ (Fox want a watered-down “Alien” movie, Scott wants something more hardcore – just as we do!) and, considering they’ve been on the hunt for a few months for her, difficulty finding a female lead.

Now, says ScriptFlags, the film may have been Fury Road-ed. Yep, pushed back a full twelve months.

”Ridley Scott’s Alien Prequel #1 & #2 have both been pushed back a full twelve months to 2013 & 2014”, claims the site. “There has been no official explanation from Fox or Scott’s camp. This comes two months after their first publicized fallout over budgetary and rating criteria.”

Much like “Fury Road”, the “Alien” prequel was near ready to go and had booked up studio space. Just a couple of weeks ago FX Supervisor Henry South tweeted that production design had officially begun, suggesting a start date was looming.

It had been rumoured that the film would begin lensing in Feb 2011 – with either Olivia Wilde (“TRON : Legacy”) or Noomi Rapace (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”) in the lead role – but considering they’ve yet to sign a lead, let alone respond to these worrying rumours, there’s a fair chance Scriptflags are on the money.

'Conan' Reboot Gets New Title, Delay

The Conan 3D reboot has been given a new title: Conan the Barbarian -- fitting, if you ask me. And here's more...

Make of this what you will : Nu Image has not only just renamed their upcoming “Conan” reboot – from “Conan 3D” to the more purist pleasing “Conan the Barbarian” – but they’ve just ordered the cast back to Bulgaria for reshoots.

Considering the film has been in the can for quite some time – and most of the cast, including Rachel Nichols, Jason Momoa and Ron Perlman have all moved on to other projects – the reshoots, which come hot on the end of test screenings, are a little worrying.

I also have to ask, why has “3D” been removed from the film’s title? Is it because the studio believes 3D’s appeal on the decline? Or is it – am I just taking a stab in the dark here – because they’re considering doing away with 3D?

An insider tells me that “It could be that they have abandoned 3D but last I heard they were going to shoot some more 3D friendly scenes and then hire a freelance firm to convert it in post”.

3D or no 3D, personally, I’m rooting for the film. “Conan” is a terrific story, and I love the look of this new kid Jason Mamoa – in the role originated by The Oak. More so, how hot is Rachel Nichols going to look in a shaggy skirt!? Yeah… you with me!? Worth the price of admission alone. And, of course, if it’s proven there’s a market out there for a “Conan” film… we might just see John Milius and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “King Conan” one day, you never know.

Our contact says that the test screenings for this latest film have gone “Okay, but look… some people need to realize this isn’t a film version of the Robert E.Howard books, it’s an interpretation… another spin on the character. It’s a little bit different, but I think it’s fine”.

Hopefully ‘fine’ is good enough to squish the other [3D] films opening opposite “Conan” that weekend in August of 2011 – “Spy Kids 4″ and “Fright Night”. And hey, look, if they are doing 3D still and it doesn’t turn out, or if the flick hasn’t turned out as expected, they can always pay Schwarzenegger a few hummer’s full of gold bullion to make an appearance as Conan’s Uncle Louie.

After his father is murdered and village destroyed, Conan ventures into an unforgiving world where he survives as a thief, pirate, and warrior. On his path of wanton adventure and women, Conan chances upon the warlord responsible his tribe’s destruction. As he tracks Khalar Zym, Conan battles monsters, Zym’s henchmen, and Marique, a powerful witch.

More news on “Conan the Barbarian” when it comes to hand.

'Flubber 3D' In The Works

It appears that Disney is looking to make a sequel to the 1997 film Flubber, starring Robin Williams. Here's the latest...

Ah, “Flubber” – - how I miss your kindly jello exterior. Or not.

Actually worked on the 1997 flick – starring Robin Williams in the ol’ Fred MacMurray role – in a marketing position, so believe me when I say I’ve had enough “Flubber” to last me a life time. No, please, I just couldn’t fit any more in. That first round of green shit quashed my craving.

Disney are said to be considering sequelizing the Robin Williams comedy. Joy. Not a surprise though, is it? I mean, the original film that “Flubber” was based on, “The Absent Minded Professor”, spawned a sequel, “Son of Flubber”. According to Whats Playing, “Flubber 2″ or – wait for it – “Flubber 3D” hinges on Williams’ commitment. If he wants in, it’s a go, if he doesn’t? well, it goes the way of “Mrs Doubtfire 2″ (Remember? Bonnie Hunt wrote the screenplay? Williams decided, after all was said and done, he didn’t want to do it after all. It’s now kaput). “Doubtfire” aside, It’s seemingly a lot easier to twist Robin Williams’ hairy-ass arms these days – proof? “Old Dogs”, also a Disney flick – than it was, say, when he was cinema’s biggest comic superstar. If you build it, he may just come.

Here’s my quote for the poster, Disney… “I’d rather watch a dirty sponge twist it’s way down an open faucet.”

Zimmer Not Scoring 'Man of Steel'

Contrary to the rumors a few days ago, Hans Zimmer will not be scoring the new Superman movie...

As expected with information on the Internet, it travels fast and can get miscontrued. Last week word spread faster than a speeding bullet that Hans Zimmer was going to be doing the music for the new Superman movie, being directed by Zack Snyder. ("Hans Zimmer to replace iconic Superman score,” said Entertainment Weekly.)

Part of the fuel comes from the fact that Christopher Nolan, for whom Zimmer did the music for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Inception, is producing the new movie.

He is expected to reteam with Nolan for The Dark Knight Rises, as the third movie is titled, but as for Superman, Zimmer says the rumours aren't true (at least not yet), and they have been allowed to bounce around the Internet because his long time publicist Ronni Chasen was murdered three weeks ago.

We’ll let Zimmer speak his mind to THR’s Kevin Cassidy.

THR: The internet is buzzing with rumors that you’ve signed on to Zack Snyder’s Superman project. Any truth to that?

Hans Zimmer: You know, it’s like some dirty quote taken out of context. Let’s just be absolutely straight here: I have never in my life met Zack Snyder. I think I need to give him a ring. But here’s the thing: No Ronni [Chasen]. Suddenly all sorts of stuff starts flowing around with no warning.

THR: So if Ronni was still around this probably wouldn’t be happening?

Zimmer: No! Absolutely not! You know, I can’t even remember ever talking about Superman. It's a little bit, you know, it’s a little bit like "guilty by association" isn’t it?

THR: Because of Batman?

Zimmer: I met Chris Nolan once and he knows Zack Snyder and therefore I’m doing Superman. You know that’s all it is.

THR: It may stem from the fact a lot of people would like to see you take that project. Based on the Batman films.

Zimmer: How can I say it: My heart belongs to Batman. I wouldn’t even know how to go and give voice to it. I haven’t thought about it.

THR: Not to mention following in the footsteps of John Williams.

Zimmer: Right! John Williams, the greatest living composer -- full stop. And that happens to be one of his greatest themes. So no. And I’m not thinking of rewriting Beethoven’s ninth either. It just sounds like a thankless task, you know? So that’s unequivocally a no. I have never spoken with Zack Snyder.

Emma Stone Goes Gwen Stacy Blonde!

This all comes from omg! on Yahoo!...

"Zombieland" actress Emma Stone has switched up her signature fiery red look in favor of a brand new blonde hairdo, which she debuted on the red carpet at the Trevor Live benefit in West Hollywood on Sunday.

Though Stone is in fact a natural blonde, the actress has made her name sporting red or brunette locks in movies like "Easy A" and "Superbad." Why the move to the dark side in the first place?

"When I first moved to L.A., I had this agent who thought, because I was blonde, that I only wanted to play cheerleaders," Stone told Britain's The Independent. "So she'd send me out for all these parts where they thought: 'What a weird 15-year-old. It's not going to work out!' I don't know if anyone necessarily underestimated me as a blonde -- I think I just had a crappy agent. So one day, in a fit of trying to do something different, I just dyed my hair dark brown and got my first role a week later, after which I thought: 'People are close-minded, man! Like a different hair color changes everything!'"

Ditching her signature red tresses wasn't just a whim on the part of Stone. She underwent the change in the name of art to play Gwen Stacy in the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot -- a role that required her to possess lighter locks.

"My natural hair is blonde, so it's kind of nice," the 22-year-old told MTV of her return to her roots. "I looked in the mirror and said, 'Oh my god, it's me again! It's been so long!'"

Review: 'The Last Airbender'

How a movie based off of a cartoon can be hazardous to your health.

Hey everyone and welcome to my first review for this lovely website and what a better way to start this by reviewing The Last Airbender.  The movie is based off of a Nickelodeon cartoon series called Avatar: The Last Airbender and this movie should have been called that but instead some rich beyond rich filmmaker named James Cameron had to name his movie called Avatar.  (I'm sure you heard of it)  Anyway, if you didn't hear about the news before the movie was being made that a known filmmaker named M. Night ShyShy (yeah that's what I'm going to call him from now on cause I can't remember how to spell his last name right now [Shyamalan]) was going to write and direct the movie.  Now that was mistake number one.  The last few movies he did (The Happening, Lady in the Water and The Village) didn't do crap at the box office and they all got terrible reviews.  A shame because he made some great movies too like The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable.  Now mistake number two was that the two guys who created the cartoon, Michael Dante DiMartino and Brian Konietzko (who both worked on Family Guy) let M. Night ShyShy destroy their masterpiece.  To be quite honest, I think if the film was PG-13 instead of the PG rated it has, I think the movie would have been better.  The violence in the cartoon can get pretty intense and I believe the filmmakers were trying to dumb down the violence a bit.

Another thing that M. Night ShyShy destroyed was the casting.  If you watch the movie, you notice that ALL the Water Nation are White people, ALL the Fire Nation are Indian people and ALL the Earth Nation are Asian People.  Yeah, the filmmakers kept trying to say that cartoons are universal characters but remember a movie called Dragonball: Evolution? ( I don't blame you if you don't. The movie was HORRIBLE!)  Justin Chatwin as Goku was not the best choice. (Hell, he shouldn't have even been in consideration) Another thing is that pacing of the movie is so terrible.  Things just happen out of thin air and what took many episodes to develop in the series takes like 4.8 seconds in the movie.

The movie should have been another ten or 20 minutes long but I guess little kids don't have enough attention spans to sit their little asses on the couch or theatre seat to watch a two hour movie. If they can do it for the Harry Potter films then why can't they do it for this?

The acting (if you can call it that) was terrible.  The scar on Zuko's face was barely noticeable.  In the cartoon it was his most noticeable physical feature.  Oh and I don't need to mention the fact that the character's names are pronounced differently (as in AHang not Ang... get it?)  I can get over that and the fact that the action was filmed quite well but when the acting is terrible, the pacing is horrible and the CGI is something off of a Playstation 1 game, it's pretty bad.

M. Night isn't all at fault here though. I wonder if at any time during the writing process, Michael and Brian thought to themselves, "This guy is destroying our work!"  I mean, have they even seen the movie?  I can't believe they didn't get headaches so bad that their heads exploded.  I almost felt that way after about 20 minutes into the film and I had another 80 minutes to go. (Thank GOD!)

The so-called comedy falls flat on it's face and it tr
ies too hard.  I didn't laugh one time. (well, maybe except the things my brother was saying while watching this piece of crap movie)  Sokka is supposed to be the comic relief in the movie but I can't remember one thing he says that was remotely funny.  Momo, the winged lemur, was actually the funniest thing in the movie and Momo is barely in the movie.  That's pretty sad my friends.

So, in conclusion, This whole movie is a mistake. The acting was terrible, the CGI was terrible and the pacing was just bad.  The well filmed action sequences could not save this movie one bit which is a shame because I really liked the action.  I know that it's like a law in Hollywood to change stuff from the source material to film but did M. Night really have to change literally almost every aspect of the film?  I am going to have to rate this film a 1 out of 5.  Now, I could have given this a zero but I figured that because the action was filmed well I couldn't give it a score that low.  I want to take this movie and throw it out the window. I want my hundred minutes back!!!!!  ( Did I mention that I want my hundred minutes back??)  Do yourself a favor and DON'T watch this film.  Even if it's the last movie on earth, you will have much more fun eating dirt than sitting through this "movie".

MPAA Bans 'Bereavement' Poster

The MPAA has recently banned the poster for the upcoming movie Bereavement, the prequel to Malevolence. This comes as a bit of heartbreak to director Steven Mena, who had this to say...

"The MPAA has banned the poster for depicting a child holding a weapon,” Mena tells Fango. “It’s hugely disappointing, because that poster really encapsulated the plot of the film with an intriguing image. It’s a real setback for us, considering the challenges we already face competing for attention with a small budget.”

And here's the banned art...

And here's the trailer for the film...
