Actor Daniel Radcliffe, best known for portraying the young wizard Harry Potter, recently spoke with Parade Magazine, reflecting on the last 10 years of Potter films.
Daniel Radcliffe has grown up on the big screen as the young wizard Harry Potter.
Now, after ten years and seven hugely successful films, the 22-year-old actor is reaching the end of the magical odyssey with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2. Parade's Jeanne Wolf found out about the incredible journey he's taken.
Is it really over?
"J. K. Rowling pretty much promised me that she wasn't going to write any more Harry Potter books. But, subsequently, I've heard she's been quoted as saying she hasn't ruled it out. So I think the two of us have to have a very interesting conversation at some point in the near future."

It's over for him.
"If they did actually do another film I don't think I'd be on board. No. I think ten years is enough."
What sets Deathly Hallows apart.
"One of the things that makes the biggest difference is that we're out of Hogwarts, which I think immediately lends the film a more kind of adult tone. When we've been in a school, you can't help but see us as school kids. Now, we're sort of just fugitives on the run. And there's so much action. But, actually, it does not compare to Part 2, which is coming next summer. The last film is just an all out action movie from start to finish."

And then there were tears.
"I certainly choked up when we wrapped. I was crying and so were Emma and Rupert at the end along with the crew, who also had been there for ten years. It was very sad. But six hours later, I was on a plane reading the script for "Woman in Black." Now, I'm five weeks into filming that. So we move on."
What he'll take with him.
"Working with the people I've go to work with, I've gained things I wouldn't otherwise have had. For example, an immense passion about the film industry and a work ethic that I might not have had otherwise. So it's changed me, but I don't think necessarily negatively. It's all been good."
But he had no idea what was in store.
"I don't think anyone would have been able to predict that it would get so mega. But if we'd been making bad films for all these years, they wouldn't have been huge successes. So I think it's a testament to the fact that we've always tried to maintain a certain level of quality."

Keeping it all in perspective.
Early on in your career you have to be able to separate the person they are cheering for from the person you actually are. They are cheering for a perception they have of you, which is a famous person, an actor and this particular character. So if you start to think that they are cheering for you as a real person then that's when you get big headed and you become an awful human being."
Being rich doesn't hurt.
"As far as the wealth aspect is concerned, I'm in a very fortunate position which has been afforded me by doing these films. I got paid very well for doing a job I absolutely love. When you have that kind of financial security it gives you a lot of freedom as an actor because it means you don't have to do stuff just for the money. You can afford to be selective about what you do."
Always Harry Potter.
"I think to a certain extent it's true that Harry will stick to me. I think in a lot of people's minds I will always be him. It's rather like the mafia, I guess. Once you're in, you never get out. I don't think I'm being typecast so far. But I would never be anything but proud to be associated with this film series forever."

It might not be a sequel, prequel, or remake, but it was definitely worth checking out...
As I sat down to watch From Hollywood to Hollywood, I couldn't help but wonder what in the hell this film is about, and furthermore, in what purpose was this film made. About ten minutes into the flick, I quickly realized what this movie was about and what it was trying to accomplished.
Scott and Jeff Bushaw are two real-life brothers who shot and starred in this movie; Scott plays Skyler Pierson, a reluctant gay porn actor, and Jeff plays Dempster Pierson, a character who can only be described as a "wild card".
Pushing the boundaries in new, creative and comedic ways From Hollywood to Hollywood brings you on the twisting journey of a lifetime with two brothers: reluctant gay porn actor Skyler Pierson and horrible idea having Dempster Pierson as they try to make their dream of writing and starring in their own Hollywood movie come true. But before that can happen, it would be helpful to leave gay porn behind and actually have a GOOD movie idea. Once you meet these two, you'll realize why they're undeterred by these 'minor details'. They soon arrive in Hollywood to discover not all is what it seems in this strange, new land. Figuring out the journey to the top just may kill your dream, and possibly you too...
Nevertheless, the two brothers travel from Hollywood, Florida to Hollywood, California to pursue their dreams of making it big in Tinsel Town. Despite the film's low budget, it delivers some pretty big laughs. I'd definitely recommend this film to anyone who wishes to pursue a career in filmmaking or anyone who just wants to laugh.
I could definitely see this film getting a big budget adaptation (ala Napoleon Dynamite).
In closing, I give this movie 3.5 stars out of 5. For anyone in the entertainment business, From Hollywood to Hollywood is a must see!

So what's the latest on the on-again, off-again sequel to The Goonies? Here's the latest from an article Moviehole just recently published...
Befuddlingly why Warner Bros won’t make a sequel to “The Goonies” – it’s not only one of most beloved family films of all time, but it earned the studio a pretty penny upon it’s release in 1985. More so, the audience is still there for it, as hungry as ever for more ‘Goonies’ adventure – just as the Flynn-ians are, 30 years later, chomping at the bit to see “TRON Legacy”.
So why aren’t Warner Bros interested in sequelizing Richard Donner’s 1985 hit…particularly when Donner, the cast and executive producer Steven Spielberg are!?
Corey Feldman, whose heard it all when it comes to “Goonies 2″ rumours, said he’d reprise ‘Mouth’ in a heartbeat.
“I would do it if [the studio] was serious, but unfortunately they can’t seem to get it together,” the actor tells The Hollywood Reporter.
“We all like to see it happen, but it’s one of those stumbling blocks where no matter how much love there is …,” Feldman told the trade at the Grayson’s Gift benefit in Santa Monica’s Hotel Casa Del Mar on Thursday. “The No. 1 question that’s always been asked of me for the last 20 years is, ‘Will there be a sequel to Goonies?,’ and unfortunately my answer is always the same. It’s not up to me, you know, it’s the studio.”
“They treasure this film, as you know. It is literally their greatest family film title of all time. That’s the way they see it. It’s always on the top 25, all DVD sales around the world all the time,” he says. “If we go and throw a sequel out there that’s lesser [in quality,] then suddenly we may hurt this continuous cash cow.”
“There have been talks for so many years and I know that a lot of us are for it. But honestly, I don’t think it’s ever going to happen,” Jonathan Ke Quan, who played the role of Richard ‘Data’ Wang recently told Collider. “If it was going to happen it would’ve happened many years ago.”
There have been a couple of “Goonies” scripts written (one by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci) but none got past the draft stage.
“I talked to him [Richard Donner] about a script but it didn’t end up flourishing”, Feldman told Collider. “The sequel script, there have been times up until five years ago where they actually had a script with well-renowned writers working on a great, magnificent script and it just didn’t happen. There’s a lot of politics involved”.
Feldman says it’s more likely that we’ll see an oft-rumoured “Goonies” ‘Musical’.
“…I know Richard Donner is really behind that,” Feldman says. “He’s a dear friend of mine and we talk about it quite often and he said that they finally got a great script in which he’s very excited about.”
I’m excited at the prospect of a “Goonies” musical, but not nearly as excited as I’d be had WB trekked off to Astoria to do a true-blue movie sequel.
Two words for Warner Bros : TRON. Legacy.

David Duchovny has been talking lately about a third X-Files movie...
Despite the lackluster performance of the last film in the franchise, Fox may yet give “The X-Files” another run on the big screen. Thanks to Moviehole.
Speaking to France’s TV Mag, star David Duchovny said a script for a third “X-Files” movie – following “X-Files : Fight the Future” and “X-Files : I want to Believe” – is being written. The studio, however, hasn’t agreed to make the movie… yet.
“It is being written. One awaits just the green light from Fox, a little disappointed from the relatively poor reception of the second film. The error comes, in my opinion, that the authors strayed too far from the roots of the series. Moreover, the film was released in the summer. The third will be much closer to what the public expects, with government conspiracies, etc. ”
A third “X-Files” film would assumingly reunite director Chris Carter and stars Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
