'Lost Boys: The Thirst' Review

Below is a review for Lost Boys: The Thirst, courtesy of HorrorBid.

Below is a special review our friend Jack Hunter of MokeyTossTv did for HorrorBid and the Bidite nation. Feast on it below and let us know your thoughts.

What’s up you horror loving f*ckers? I have awesome news!! The Lost Boys: The Thirst will be released on October 12, 2010 on blu-ray and regular dvd with loads of extra features! The new film stars Corey Feldman(Lost Boys,Lost Boys:The Tribe) and Jamison Newlander(Lost Boys) and Tanit Phoenix. This film is the third in the vampire film saga! Here is the plot line from a fans perspective:

A very attractive novelist whos kid brother goes awall, and she believes the vamps are holding him captive, she employs Edgar Frog to try and hunt him down, to which he finds that the vampires are producing a new drug which is a mixture of vamp blood and ecstasy, and also that the kid is being used as a sacrifice on the night of the thirst.

So there ya go, that is the best plot line I could come up with, without giving the full story away. Before I give my review on this new direct to dvd film, let me let you know that I had very low hopes for this movie. As you may remember the tragic film, Lost Boys: The Tribe , was an epic waste of time for everyone that was involved. So you can kind of see where my expectations of the new film were. I am a huge Lost Boys fan, so it would take a lot for me to overcome the big disappointment over the sequel.

Lets get to it! THIS MOVIE IS F*UCK*ING AMAZING! I know you guys probably think this is just another vampire movie that has vamps killing and slaying everyone,, well your F*ck*ng wrong! This movie brings what the original Lost Boys brought to the table. At first you think this movie is going to be an epic failure, just as the sequel had been, but you are totally differed to another direction. Feldman brightenly brings back the character of Edgar Frog with a vengeance and does it right. His acting in this film was absolutely phenomenal! A lot of the fans of the original film had a lot of questions about the “Sam” character, originally portrayed by the late Corey Haim (r.i.p). I can only say so much about the characters role in the third film, I don’t want to ruin it for everyone, but I will say this, Yes his character is in the film and they def. pay perfect homage to the late Corey Haim. (Good Job Warner Premiere! )

This film explores the other realms of The Lost Boys Saga, Were there any plot holes in the film? And the answer to that question is yes, but I have exciting news. Mr. Feldman announced that there are 3 more films to come out the of The Lost Boys film Saga. One cool thing about this movie is the fact that they bring back Alan Frog(Jamison Newlander), the other frog brother who appeared in the original film. This movie is Pure Brilliance! There’s really no other way to describe this movie, this should have been the second film, honestly and I’m sorry to say that the second film literally killed it for me, but THANK GOD for The Thirst! This film also pays homage to the original movie, meaning it has certain things that they make obvious that compliments the original movie. Some things will be blatantly out in the open, but other things you will have to look for. Good Job on making this one of the best Vampire movies of 2010!

Oooooo, one funny thing about this movie is the fact that they rip on every single Twilight fan! I mean, I am a fan, but this movie makes you freaking laugh your ass off with some of the script writing. And the fact is, everything they say is perfectly right! They make gestures towards Twilight and they def. put them in there place, Absolutely Amazing, that’s all I can say!

I give this movie a 4.5/5 stars, The acting needed a little work from some of the co-stars, but it got way better throughout the film. The script writing was pure genius, the TnA was outstanding!(can you say lesbian fang-bang?) It was def. a revival of the vampire films! Go buy this dvd on October 12, 2010 on Blu-ray and regular dvd.

Elizabeth Banks Is Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell is set to make yet another live action debut -- only this time, the part will be filled by Elizabeth Banks. Perfect casting, if you ask me. Although, my mental image of a live action Tink will always be Julia Roberts (Hook). Let's hope that Elizabeth can make an impression with Tink. We scored the story from Moviehole, read it below...

That gorgeous Giggle-Wert Elizabeth Banks ("Zack and Miri Make a Porno", "The 40 Year-Old Virgin", "W") is set to, like Julia Roberts, Mae Whitman, Ludivine Sagnier and Virginia Browne Faire before her, go all spite!

The comedienne is off to Never Never Land, playing Tinkerbell in a live-action film revolving around the popular "Peter Pan" fairy, says The Fan Carpet.

"Tink", which, no surprise is set up at Disney, will be produced by Adam Shankman ("Hairspray"), McG ("Terminator Salvation") and Jennifer Gibgot ("The Last Song"), with a screenplay by Jennifer Wright Shapiro. No plot available. No director onboard yet.

It's likely a long ways off, but lookin' forward to seeing Ms Banks sprinkle pixie-dust all over a lucky S.O.B!

'Green Lantern' On EW Cover

Enterainment Weekly's newest issue will be featuring Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern. Read below the image for the story...

Fanboys of the world, get ready to go green. As all of Hollywood (and many a costumed nerd) gears up for next week’s Comic-Con convention in San Diego, EW provides a behind-the-scenes look at the making of next summer’s highly anticipated superhero movie Green Lantern. Ryan Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, a cocky test pilot who becomes a ring-wearing intergalactic superhero in this massive sci-fi epic from director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale). Though Reynolds has prior experience in the superhero realm from his role as Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, playing Green Lantern involved some major challenges, like getting hurled through the air on a wire at up to 60 feet per second to create the illusion of flight. “The first time you do it, you’re seriously considering an adult diaper,” Reynolds says. Still, he couldn’t resist the chance to play the beloved DC Comics hero, whose power ring can conjure virtually anything he can dream up. “Will and imagination are his superpowers,” Reynolds says. “We need a circus of Timothy Learys to think of things Hal would invent with his ring.”

For more on Green Lantern, plus sneak peeks at other geek-tastic projects making a splash at Comic-Con, from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to Thor to Tron: Legacy and more, pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, on stands July 16.
